Maker Space Meetings

The next Maker Space meeting will be for the Monday group - Monday, November 17 at 8 am in Room 509.

We will have a donation drive on Saturday, December 6 from 9 am - noon. Clean out your basement, closet and attics.   If you have any items to donate, you can drive up to the curb and we will unload them for you.  Here are examples of what we are looking for:

Hand Tools and Small Power Tools
Glue Guns
Fasteners including glue, tapes, screws, nails, brads
Wire (insulated and uninsulated)
Sewing machine
Blenders
Soldering Irons
Irons
Fabrics and trims
Craft supplies (popsicle sticks, yarn, pom-poms, markers, paint, pipe cleaners, colored paper, foam shapes, dowels)
Peg board and organizing bins
Old toys - especially ones with moving parts or electronics

We will take almost anything, but you can e-mail me at tanya.hyman@cobbk12.org and I will let you know if we can use your items.



Parents and Students:  If you need to go to tutoring in the morning to do work, that takes priority over coming to  a Maker Space meeting.  
Make good choices - academics should be the most important.

Information Session

Our Information Session was held on Monday, 11/3 at 8 am.  If you missed it, here's what you need to do:

Student “To Do” List

·     *   Student and a parent or guardian must sign the “User Agreement” and return to Homeroom Teacher.
·      *  Student must complete the "Student Information Form" and return to Homeroom Teacher 
(forms are on Schoology - see sign up info below)

·       *  Student must sign up for an account on Schoology (www.schoology.com) – if you already have an account you can use it.  When you sign up, you will need an access code to join a Maker Space Group.  The group you sign up for will be your meeting time from now on so choose a time that works best for you.
To sign up for the Monday 8 am group, use the Access code  8PDBW-VJB9T
To sign up for the Tuesday 8 am group, use the Access code TSS9K-9QQRQ
When you sign up for the Schoology Account, please include an e-mail address (yours or your parent’s) so that you can stay informed about meetings and activities.
